Check out the latest LEGO movie trailer from Sydney-based animation studio WillanovaTV. These guys have made a bunch of cool, stop-motion spoof trailers, and this time it’s none other than the biggest superhero movie ever, The Avengers! I love the attention to detail in this clip. Kudos to everybody that worked on it!
Blade Runner is very high on my list of all time great films and I love how it continues to inspire all types of artists. It seems like every week there’s another cool piece of art that features Rick Deckard, Roy Batty or another character from Ridley Scott’s 1982 masterpiece.
This week, I found these detailed figures that were made on commission by the flickr user that goes by the handle Legohaulic. Above, we have (L to R) Dr. Eldon Tyrell, Gaff, Rick Deckard, and Rachael.
Of course, no Blade Runner set is complete without the Nexus-6 replicants, and above there’s (L to R) Leon, Pris, Roy Batty, and Zhora. The figures are cool enough, but the artist even went so far as to build a Spinner (flying car) that completes the set. Check it out below.
As mentioned, these are commissioned works, so you won’t find them in any store, but I’m betting they would sell out in a hurry if they were. Click on an image to see the rest of Legohaulic’s work. (Thanks to Forever Geek for the heads up.)
