There’s something fascinating about artists using city sidewalks and chalk as their only materials, and I’m always on the lookout for festivals or competitions that feature this type of work. The images shown here were taken by friend of mine who was lucky enough to visit the the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival (in Lake Worth, Florida) in February, 2012 (Thanks, Beth!). I really like the variety of subjects that the artists chose and how spot on the likenesses are. I’m betting these characters are so well-known that captions aren’t even needed. Let me know what you think!
