There’s something ultra-cool about taking real people – in this case, the cast of the upcoming film, Prometheus – and giving them the “animated look”. It always grabs my attention and makes me take a second look, as in the example above by deviantArt member, Guido Guidi. I don’t know anything about this artist, but I wish he would post more stuff like this. As a matter of fact, somebody needs to make a complete animated version of the Alien/Prometheus movie franchise. Hollywood, there’s no charge for that brilliant idea – just run with it.

Prometheus – a film by Ridley Scott

Like most people, the 1979 movie, Alien, is one of my all-time favorites, and it’s rightly considered a science fiction classic. I can still remember the first time I saw it and how awed I was by the special effects. Although it’s been over thirty years since it first starting terrifying audiences, it seems like the movie is even more popular than ever. In case you haven’t heard, director Ridley Scott has made a new movie called, Prometheus, that will re-visit the Alien cinematic world he created. The film is scheduled to open on June 8, 2012.

After seeing the trailer for Prometheus, I thought it would be fun to check out what type of weird Alien merchandising tie-ins might be out there. So, after a little surfing on Amazon, I compiled this list of ten items that range from LOL to WTF.
