I saw Kelly’s Heroes for the first time at the tender age of six and it’s been near the top of my Coolest Movies of All Time list ever since. This flick is filled with quotable lines and memorable scenes, but the hippie tank commander, Oddball, played by Donald Sutherland, has most of them. In a textbook example of a great supporting performance, Sutherland created the perfect comic relief in an otherwise tense World War II adventure. This clip collects all of Oddball’s “negative waves” scenes, and they’re just as funny now, forty years later.
